The Mainport Group originates from the UK, established in 1992. Over the past 27 years, we have become a major UK provider of Industrial Safety Training and Inspection Services. The Group serves clients large and small in the oil and gas, construction, logistics, engineering, utilities and power generation sectors. Group Companies hold numerous approvals and accreditations with international standard-setting organizations and certification bodies including ISO 9001, NEBOSH, LEEA Full Membership, City and Guilds, RTITB, NPORS and many more.
The Group extended activities into Africa in 2008, providing high quality services to oil and gas client companies and their contractors in North Africa. Further extension into East Africa followed with a regional office opened in Nairobi in 2012 coordinating services in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
Mainport Mozambique is the most recent addition to the Group, having been established in 2014. The Company operates a facility in Pemba and will be developing further facilities in Palma as the LNG projects unfold. We aim to assist clients with compliance certification for personnel and equipment. We also provide wrap-around services to facilitate legal, safe and efficient client operations.
We aspire to achieve the maximum possible local content. This means that we seek to employ Mozambicans who we can develop as trainers and inspection technicians to international standards, and give preference to products and services of Mozambican origin.
